Bank Robbery

The Denver FBI is holding a rare news conference about a bank robbery at a suburban Denver Wells Fargo last week. Denver FBI Agent in Charge and Westminster Police Department officials were scheduled to speak about the robbery earlier today at FBI headquarters in Denver. Authorities say two men armed with guns and covered from head-to-toe entered the Wells Fargo in Westminster, Jan. 21 in what the FBI described as a violent bank robbery. New details are expected to be released at the news conference. The FBI's initial statement on the robbery said the suspects got a way in a stolen 1992 black Jeep Cherokee that was found near the bank a few hours later. Wells Fargo is offering a $25,000 reward.

Genetically Modified Food

Colorado lawmakers have rejected a bill that would require labels on genetically modified foods. Colorado voters could still see ballot measures to require labels on food items made from genetically modified crops, known as GMOs. Currently, only Connecticut and Maine have laws requiring labels for genetically modified food.

Stabbing sentence reduced

A 30 year old Greeley man who is accused in a 2009 fatal stabbing in Fort Morgan - has had his sentenced cut down... Ahmed Abdi was accused of killing his stepsister, 27 year old Warson Aden Abdi in an apartment hallway... he was sentenced to 30 years behind bars in 2010... the Fort Morgan times says he appealed that decision, and was given a hearing... the court agreed to shave four years off of his sentence.

Sterling's New Police Chief

Sterling's new police chief has taken the oath of office... Tyson Kerr took that step this week... the journal advocate says acting city manager bob brown said 25 applications had been received for the job... five were interviewed.
