Police Looking for Burglary Suspect

In the early morning hours of July 14th, police responded to an alarm at a business in the 100 block of West Street. When they arrived they, the owner was already there.
He says he got a call from the alarm company at about 4:00 AM to let him know that the alarm had gone off. They found a vent on the side of the building had been pried open. The would be burglar was scared off by the noise. If you know anything, call the cops or crime stoppers.

NJX Gets DOL Grant

NJC is getting a $1.3 million dollar grant, from the U.S. Department of Labor. The money is part of the Department's 125 million dollars in Community-Based Job Training grants to 41 community colleges across the country. This was the Department's only grant awarded in Colorado. It puts Northeastern in a lead position for high quality wind energy technology training. The college began offering this training a year ago with only 20 students studying for the state-approved two-year degree program. With wind energy companies like Vestas bringing 2 thousand jobs to the state, there's a need to train a lot of people fast.
