Bob Bollish to Run for Logan County Sheriff Again

Former Logan County Sheriff Bob Bollish says he has decided to run for his old office. Confirming an annoucnement made to county Republicans over the weekend, Bollish said in a release yesterday that he's been told of multiple problems under current Sheriff Brett Powell, who is running for re-election, and that he decided to sell his out-of-state land holdings and return to Logan County to restore the office to the prestige it should have. Chuck Darchuk, a former lieutenant with the Logan County Sheriff's Office, has also filed to run for Sheriff.

MCC Foundation Gala Set Next Friday

"When You Wish Upon a Star" is the celestial theme for the eleventh annual Morgan Community College Foundation Gala planned for Friday, February 26. An evening of food, fun, fabulous music, and fundraising is on tap for Gala attendees at the Mark Arndt Event on the Morgan County Fairgrounds. It starts at 6pm next Friday. Also marking the 40th anniversary of MCC, guests are encouraged to don their vintage clothing for the evening. Tickets in advance are $35 and at the door, $40.
