Brush resident Frank Phillips, Jr. told the Brush City Council on Monday that he was concerned about the way the city’s public works department is managed. Phillips, Jr said he is a concerned citizen and taxpayer who has been closely monitoring the city’s public works department’s work.
Phillips said he has seen department employees smoking in city vehicles and equipment, and they have been unsafely transported in the back of pickup trucks.
He also mentioned concerns about the use of tax dollars within the department. Mayor Scalise thanked Phillips for his comments and said city officials will research and respond to his concerns.
