Severe weather produced large hail and at least one tornado in the area yesterday afternoon. As the storms moved east they produced hail up to 1.25" near Hudson, Keenesburg, Wiggins and Fort Morgan. Ping pong ball sized hail fell in Brush and Fort Morgan while later in the evening Yuma had a powerful storm that dropped tennis ball sized hail that did considerable damage to windows and cars. Just before 5pm, a weather spotter reported a tornado on the ground north of Log Lane Village but the tornado receded into the cloud very quickly.

Burlgary Informaiton Sought
Fort Morgan police are asking for public help with several recent burglaries they believe may be connected. In a community information alert posted on the city website yesterday, police say three break-ins that occurred within three days of each other have similar traits to a burglary that occurred the week before. The burglars used windows to get into the businesses and one home. It appears the burglars are striking at night, since the crimes are discovered the next morning. More than 12-thousand dollars in cash and jewelry has been stolen. The burglars leave other valuables alone. Police are asking anyone with information about these burglaries to call Crime Stoppers at 542-3411.
