The Sherman Street Railroad Crossing will be closed from Burlington Avenue to Railroad Avenue from Wednesday, November 3, through Thursday, November 11, for construction of medians as part of the City of Fort Morgan’s Railroad Quiet Zone Project #2. The crossing will be closed for construction activities from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each weekday. Please plan accordingly and use alternative routes..

Nobody Hurt in Car-Combine-Train Crash
Nobody was seriously hurt in a crash last week that involved a car, a combine and a train. Colorado State Patrol said that 69 year old Glen Brown of was heading east on Highway 6 and as he approached a combine coming the other way, he clipped the machine, sending his car off the road and onto the railroad tracks. Before it could be removed from the scene, Brown's car was hit by an oncoming train. He got out of the car before the collision with the train. The train had minimal damage. The combine operator, 36 year old Allen Hutt of Atwood was not hurt, but Brown was cited for careless driving.
Hickenlooper and Garcia in Fort Morgan Today
Denver Mayor and Democratic Gubernatorial candidate John Hickenlooper and his running mate Joe Garcia will be in Fort Morgan today. They 're set to be at the Country Steak Out at 4:30 p.m.
Overland Trail Museum Holds Wild West Justice Day
Wild West Justice Day is coming up at the Overland Trail Museum. On November 6 you can find out what it was like to witness a crime and then be part of an authentic 1890's trial, and it'll be presided over by a real judge. This fun and educational program is recommended for children 5-11 years old and its on Saturday, November 6, from 10 a.m. to noon. Regular museum admission of $1.50 per child and $3.00 for adults will be charged. Space is limited and reservations are required! Please call 522-3895 to save your spot!
