Forecasters say enjoy the warm weather while you can. Yesterday temp's neared tripple digits, and was expected to be the hottest of the week, but Tuesday's not too far behind, with high's predicted to reach 95. But as sunny skies give way to a rising chance of thunderstorms, temperatures will fall later this week. The threat of heavy rains increases tomorrow with a slow moving storm system. Outside of Sterling, some areas received up to 5 inches of rain. Forecasters say look for cooler temp's, and a chance for the wet stuff through the weekend.

Free babysitter training is being offered in Ft. Morgan County

Free babysitter training is being offered in Ft. Morgan County. The American Red Cross says the course will not only teach youths, ages 11 to 15 years old, essential caretaking and lifesaving skills, but it will also serve as a bridge to economic opportunity by providing teens business savvy and it looks good on the app when you're trying to get a job. The training is based on first-come, first-served, but organizers say If demand is high, additional trainings may be added. You can have your say on what changes need to be made to the state's roadways. The Transportation Legislative Review Committee wants to hear what northern Colorado residents have to say about the future of Colorado's roads, bridges, public transit and regulatory programs, during a regional listening tour, this week. The committee will hold meetings in Fort Morgan and Greeley Wednesday, then in Fort Collins Thursday. The committee is also planning to hold meetings in southern and western Colorado over the coming months. Organizers say the statewide tour will serve to educate lawmakers and citizens alike about the crisis the condition of our roads and bridges is facing.

Seatbelt violators are being warned

Seatbelt violators are being warned. The Colorado Department of Transportation, Colorado State Patrol and law enforcement agencies in 11 Colorado counties are beefing up patrol for the Click It or Ticket "night time" campaign, aimed at saving lives by encouraging everyone to buckle up, especially during evening hours. Nighttime seat belt enforcement is a priority for the Click It or Ticket campaign, because motorists are least likely to buckle up and most likely to die in crashes as a result. Look for extra patrols, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Sunday.

More warm, dry conditions are expected in northwestern Colorado, where crews are fighting two fires started by lighting. The Citadel Fire, was reported Sunday, and was burning on nearly 1,900 acres about 40 miles northwest of Meeker, Tuesday. It's threatening three structures and is 10 percent contained. Another fire about 20 miles northwest of Meeker in Rio Blanco County, was reported Saturday, and has burned about 650 acres.Meanwhile rain and higher humidity have helped dampen fire activity at the 170-square-mile West Fork fire complex in southwest Colorado.

No injuries have been reported after several train cars crashed through a maintenance building

No injuries have been reported after several train cars crashed through a maintenance building in the Burlington Northern Railroad yard Tuesday morning. Officials say crews were switching tracks when four cars derailed. All the train cars remained upright. The train ran through the back of the building, pushing equipment ahead of it. Railroad officials could not say what was inside the train cars.
