No Turkeys in this race, but the seventh annual Gobbler Gallop is in Fort Morgan on Saturday, November 20. Anybody can participate in the 5K race/walk around Riverside Park and everybody gets a T-shirt. The deadline to register is November 19, 5 p.m. at the Fort Morgan Recreation Center. Late reg is on race day.

Halloween Weeknd inFull Swing
It is officially Halloween weekend. Yes, all weekend! There is stuff to do today, on Saturday, and on Sunday. For instance, downtown Sterling will have activities starting this afternoon. NJC Treat Street is from 7 to 9 tonight. The Chamber of Terror in the former Logan County jail is all weekend. And even on Sunday, several churches are even offering fun for the day. Be safe, have a great time, and BOO!
Task Force to Consider EMS
Logan County now has a task force to look at the county's ambulance service. Commissioners said the task force is already meeting to figure out how it will work. The group will bring its suggestions on how the county should handle its emergency services to commissioners. The task force will look at all of the options including the private service model; the fire-based model and the stand-alone model. Each of those models will be represented to the task force at its next meeting.
