The Greeley History Museum will host a party for Greeley's 125th anniversary at 6:30 tonight at the museum, 714 8th St.
The event will feature past and present elected officials, a history presentation, and cake and punch.

Car Vandalized in Fort Morgan

Fort Morgan police say they're trying to find out who vandalized a vehicle to the tune of 900 dollars. They got the call on March 27 and the victim told them the vehicle was parked in the 800 block of Deuel Street when the owner saw a flat tire early that morning. Later in the day, the owner saw scratches on the vehicle. The owner told police they didn't know who might have done the vandalism. If you know anything, call Fort Morgan Police.

Loveland main focus of location for NASA park

The city of Loveland is closer to winning its quest to be the location for a technology park sponsored partly by NASA.

A partner in the venture said Tuesday that out of more than 40 proposals, the main focus is now on the Agilent Technologies Inc. campus in the northern Colorado city.

The Colorado Association of Manufacturing and Technology says that will prompt discussions with Loveland, which is in the process of buying the complex.

However, the association says a final decision hasn't been made on the site of the Aerospace Clean Energy Manufacturing and Innovation Park. The group is NASA's lead partner in the project.

The Loveland Reporter-Herald reports the park is expected to draw scores of companies and employ as many as 7,000 people in turning NASA-controlled patents into products.

Man Wanted For Westminster Killing Found In Texas

The man sought for murdering his ex-wife in Westminster is under arrest in Texas. Seventy-one-year-old Richard Paul Stewart of Independence, Missouri, was placed under arrest by police in Littlefield, Texas, on unrelated charges yesterday, but he'll be held there on a warrant for the murder investigation happening in Westminster. It was Monday when police found the body of Stewart's ex-wife in the doorway of a Westminster office. Police records show Stewart was once arrested for domestic violence, just a week before his wife filed for divorce in 2008.

Lawmakers Settle On Initial Colorado Budget

Colorado lawmakers have settled on a new spending plan after agreeing yesterday where they would make cuts to contentious items. Namely, next year's state budget would soften cuts to education to about 250-million-dollars, down from the original tally of 330-million-dollars proposed by Republicans. The joint spending plan from Republicans and Democrats still must be reviewed by the full House and Senate, but yesterday's development was seen as a positive moment for state legislators.
