Water Mains Flushed this Week

The City of Fort Morgan is flushing water mains from October 10th through the 14th, during the evening hours of 9 pm - 7 am.

The flushing is performing during periods of low water demand, such as in the spring and fall. This is done routinely to clean out the distribution pipelines to remove any impurities or sediments that may be deposited in the distribution system. If you notice water running in the streets, it is likely from the flushing of water mains. If you have any questions, please call Mitch Church, Water Distribution Superintendent, at (970) 542-3911.
