Harrington Proposes Farmers Market

Sterling could have a Farmer's Market at Knowles Field. Pat Harrington oversees the community gardens there and you have to figure, if you're growing the veggies there, why not sell them there! Harrington told Sterling City Council that the market would operate from the second week in March until the last week of October and be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. Harrington said he wants to set up a board to over see the market. The city said there needs to be a permit to open the market on the city owned property. Sterling would get a cut of the proceeds from the farmer's market.
