700 new jobs are coming to Greeley. Xerox is opening a new call center on Dundee Avenue. Plans call for operations to begin early in July. Half of the jobs will be permanent, the other half are project-based position that will end during the first quarter of 2013.

A Brush woman, facing racketeering and drug distribution charges, remains in jail on 105-thousand dollars bond. Heather Marie Kolman's request for a bail reduction was refused by Morgan County District Court Judge Kevin Hoyer. Kolman and several other people were arrested in late April following a 3-month undercover investigation into local drug trafficking. More arrests are possible in connection with the investigation.

Elk Attacks Senior Citizen

A cow elk, possibly protecting her calf, trampled a 60-year old women outside an apartment in Estes Park, about 50 miles northwest of Denver. The woman was taken to an area hospital for treatment of her injuries. The elk and her calf wandered off before police arrived. Local officials say elk are common in the area, and have been known to hold up play on the city golf course, and graze on the town green.
