Colorado Supreme Court won't review 2006 homicide case
LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) — The Colorado Supreme Court will not review a Boulder County judge's ruling dismissing a second-degree murder charge against a man who was arrested in an unsolved homicide from 2006.
The Supreme Court decided Monday it would not review the decision last year from a Boulder judge who said prosecutors did not have enough evidence to try John Angerer. Angerer was arrested in the 2006 death of his girlfriend, 38-year-old Angela "Angie" Wilds.
Her decomposed body was found in a shallow grave in the South St. Vrain Canyon.
Authorities said DNA samples taken from things near Wilds' remains matched DNA taken from Angerer. He was arrested in 2010.
The Longmont Times-Call that Angerer told investigators he did not know Wilds and that he was not at the place where her body was found.
