Freedom was short-lived for a Greeley mother arrested earlier this week on charges of sexual assaulting a friend of her 14-year old daughter. Moments after 38-year old Lynne Freeman was released on bond from The Weld County Jail yesterday evening, she was handcuffed and re-arrested. Greeley Police say a second victim has come forward. Freeman, who volunteers at a Greeley Charter School, is not allowed to be around any children, including her 7 and 13 year old daughters, while her case is pending. She is due back in court on Monday.

The RE-1 Valley Board of Education heard from parents and students at a recent workshop to continue discussions about endorsed diplomas in the district. Edorsed diplomas would indicate that students have achieved post-secondary and workforce readiness. The local discussions are contributing to a statewide effort to standardize criteria of endorsed diplomas. Further discussions with the local community will be scheduled after school department officials return from statewide meeting in mid July.

Firefighters battling the High Park wildfire say they are on track to have the flames fully contained on or about July 15th. As of today, it is 60 percent contained. So far, one person has been killed, 191 homes have gone up in smoke, and 68-thousand 4-hundred acres have been consumed. The 21-point-6 million dollar price tag to battle this one makes it the most destructive fire in Colorado history
