Do you know what fireworks you can use in the Fort Morgan city limits? City code is pretty strict. Between June 1 and July 15, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 p.m., you could use cylindrical fountains, cone fountains, wheels, dipped sticks and sparklers, smoke devices and toy cars or tanks with pyrotechnics. On the Fourth of July you can set them off until midnight. It is against the law to use fireworks or public property, including parks – or within a thousand feet of a hospital, nursing home or infirmary. Setting fireworks off under a car is illegal. Same story if you’re within 50 feet of a gas station or fireworks stand. Fort Morgan police remind you the Fourth is a time for parades picnics, rodeos, fun and fireworks. They say you shouldn’t let carelessness cost you more than the fireworks did. Follow the law and use common sense.

Library sale June 30
Coming up two weeks from tomorrow, you can find some great buys at the Friends of the Library Book Sale. It will be held in conjunction with the Live at the Park Concert. The sale will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m., June 30, in the Children’s Library on the lower level at 414 Main Street in Fort Morgan. Proceeds go toward vinyl flooring for the entryway and computer lab at the library.
Free Dental Clinic This Fall
There's a free dental clinic coming to Brush this fall. Brush Family Dentistry Dr. Chuck Schonberger told the Brush Chamber of Commerce that its hoped that about 200 dentists will be on hand to treat 1500 people on October 21 and 22. Schonberger said the clinic will be for anyone who cannot afford dental care and will be at Brush High School at 400 West Street.
EMCH to Hold Blood Drive
East Morgan County Hospital is holding a blood drive on June 22 at the hospital. The North Colorado Medical Center Mobile Blood Bank will be in the south parking lot from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcomed.

Coroner IDs Man Found Dead
The Logan County Coroner has identified the 36 year old man found hanging from a swing at Krull Park on Sunday as Brandon Schwint from Sterling. His death has been ruled as caused by strangulation from hanging. The coroner said toxicology test results are pending. Sterling Police are investigating Schwint's death as a suicide. They said in a news release there are no signs of threats to the public. Police want to talk with anybody who might know anything about the case.
Parts of State St Closed This Week
Fort Morgan Water Distribution Department is replacing service lines in the 200 to 500 blocks of State Street this week, that part of State will be closed to through traffic, and only limited access to properties.
CSP Worked Sleepy Driver Crashes
Colorado State Patrol had their hands full on Sunday with a couple of sleepy drivers in Morgan County. They said that around 3 p.m. A Des Moines, Iowa man heading east on Interstate 76 fell asleep, and over corrected his drifting vehicle. It rolled several times, injuring himself and five others inside. They were all taken to hospitals with moderate injuries. The next incident was about an hour later when a westbound driver on 76 also fell asleep at the wheel. The Littleton man was alone in his car, but CSP said the car went about 80 feet off the roadway, he tried to correct it and the vehicle went off the north side and hit a highway sign. The driver was not hurt, but was cited for reckless driving.
Amtrak restores service over flooding Missouri
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Amtrak is restoring its California Zephyr passenger train between San Francisco and Chicago, which was disrupted by the flooding Missouri River in the Omaha area.
Amtrak says Tuesday that service will be restored for the complete route, except in Omaha.
Service was suspended on June 7 between Denver and Chicago, which included Fort Morgan, Colo., Nebraska, and Iowa, except for Fort Madison, because of flooding and closures on Burlington Northern Santa Fe tracks in the Omaha area.
Amtrak says service will resume on Wednesday with the eastbound train from California, and on Thursday with the westbound train in Chicago.
Temporary levees have been built over BNSF tracks to help protect Omaha and Bellevue. Amtrak says alternate transportation will be provided between Lincoln and Omaha and between Creston, Iowa, and Omaha.

DENVER (AP) — Police say the Frontier Airlines' employees who came to the aid of a woman allegedly being assaulted at Denver International Airport are being honored for their actions.
Denver police said Mark Adams and Kris Musil were to be presented with the Bill Daniels Neighborhood Hero Awards on Tuesday for assisting a woman that was being raped at an empty gate in April.
Police say Adams and Musil were on a ramp at the airport when they witnessed the attack, ran to the gate and assisted the woman. The two told KMGH-TV they wish they could have gotten there sooner.
The victim's family members have raised questions about the airport's security, saying some employees witnessed the attack and walked by without intervening.
DIA officials say airport workers responded appropriately.

Pueblo Man Pleads Guilty To Million-Dollar Vegas Heist
(Denver, CO) -- A brazen heist from a posh Las Vegas casino will likely cost a Pueblo man more than 50 years in prison. Anthony Carleo will learn his fate at his sentencing in August after yesterday's guilty plea for the December theft at the Bellagio Casino. Prosecutors say Carleo entered the casino wearing a motorcycle helmet and swiped gambling chips worth one-point-five million-dollars before hopping on his getaway motorcycle. Carleo was arrested in February after bragging about the heist to two men who later turned out to be undercover policemen.

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — A northern Colorado woman has been arrested in the fatal stabbing of one man and the wounding of another at her home in what she said was an attempted burglary.
The Weld County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday that 48-year-old Karen Cordova of Erie was arrested on charges of second-degree homicide and attempted second-degree homicide. She is being held in the county jail without bond.
Authorities say 40-year-old Stephen Erickson of Erie drove to a friend's home after he was stabbed. The Greeley Tribune reports that Erickson is in critical condition in a Lafayette hospital.
Authorities say they found the body of a second man at Cordova's house while investigating Erickson's stabbing.
They say she told them the two men broke into her house where she grows medical marijuana.
