Road Work Will Close I-76 Exits

From 6 am to 6 pm Monday, July 16, through Thursday, July 19, both exit ramps at I-76 and Barlow Rd. will be closed while C-DOT maintenance crews mill and overlay pavement on Barlow Rd. underneath the I-76 overpass. Both westbound and eastbound exit ramps off of I-76 will be closed at mile marker 82 for the four-day project. Since both exit ramps will be closed, exits from I-76 must be made at Exit 80 or Exit 86. Motorists are reminded to obey all road signs and flaggers and to drive SLOW for the Cone Zone.

Following a story in a Denver Newspaper outlining alledged abuse of public funds, Weld County Public Trustee Susie Velesquez joined 8 others in a mass resignation. Velesquez is accused fo using taxpayer money to pay for her professional licensing fees as an attorney, even though she does not have to be an attorney to do the job of public trustee. She was first appointed to the position in 2007.

All the textbooks a student needs can be reserved on line and shipped to the student's address prior to the beginning of the school year.

A Denver Based homeland security team shut down 22 websites that sold phony merchandise to unsuspecting shoppers. The sites were among 70 seized nationwide as part of "Project Copycat", a two year old program targeting online rip-offs. Visitors to the sites were lead to believe they were buying genuine name brand products, but instead got counterfiet items produced overseas.
