Gusty winds and lightning add to the challenge for firefighters at the Hewlett Gulch Trailhead wildfire. So far, the blaze has consumed more than 1-thousand acres of trees and dry brush 20 miles northwest of Ft. Collins. No homes have been ordered evacuated yet, but residents in the area have been told to prepare to leave.
