MONTROSE, Colo. (AP) — Four fires in Gunnison County kept firefighters busy over the weekend.
Fire crews from the Paonia Fire Department, Gunnison County Sheriff's Office and the Montrose Interagency Fire Management Unit battled one fire on Sunday near Gunnison burning on private lands and a national forest. The 60-acre fire was not threatening any structures.
Other fires included a 125-acre fire that was 80 percent contained, and two fires that were fully contained that burned 31 acres and 69 acres.
