American Legion auxiliary To Help Schools Get Defibrillators - ST

On February 24th, Sterling's American Legion Auxiliary is hosting a chicken dinner fundraiser to help pay for Automated external defibrillators to be placed in local schools. Some schools already have them, but the Auxiliary wants to expand the coverage since heart attack survival rates jump from just 5 percent to over 70 percent when the devices are available and used. The"Save a Heart To Save A Life" fundraiser dinners will cost 10-dollars and include home cooked fried chicken, salad and dessert. They'll be available starting at 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 24, at American Legion Unit 20 Post 20, 1602 U.S. Highway 6.
