SIA Snow Show gives peek of next ski season's gear

DENVER (AP) — One of the best previews of what snow-sports manufacturers are making for next ski season comes at the annual show thrown by the trade group SnowSports Industries America.

At the SIA Snow Show in Denver this past week, GoPro showed a gadget that allows its cameras to be controlled from a remote control worn on the wrist, or from a smart phone or device. That means kids riding through the halfpipe with cameras on their helmets could have their parents on the sidelines controlling when to snap the best shot.

Glowboardz LLC offered snowboards with lights embedded in the bottom to light up the snow.

One trend that is sticking around is the rocker, or reverse camber, shape in skis and snowboards that have made them easier to ride.
