The board of regents is ticked that The University of Colorado paid administrators some hefty raises. Hefty being nearly 50 thousand dollars in an increase for Chancellor Phil Di-Stefano, making his salary nearly 390 thousand dollars. Others in administration also got tens of thousands in raises, and administrators now wanting parents and students to cough up another 16 percent in tuition and fees. CU president Bruce Benson defended the raises to the Denver post, arguing that the university's salaries are still far below those of peer universities.
