(Custer County, CO) -- Several people in Custer County are standing by for a possible evacuation after a fatal plane crash sparked a 40-acre-wildfire. Custer County Sheriff's officials said one person died and one is hospitalized in Colorado Springs after their small plane crashed near the town of Wetmore, just southwest of Colorado Springs. The impact ignited a large wildfire now being fought near Highway 96 in the San Isabel National Forest.
