Lawmakers Reject Law That Would Have Required Prescriptions for Cold Meds

Lawmakers shot down a bill that would have required people to have prescriptions to buy common over the counter cold medicines. The bill was aimed at helping to block the growing methamphetamine production in the region. However, lawmakers were worried the move would eliminate the affordability factor and make it more difficult for people to treat simple cold symptoms.
