Logan County Officials Seek Copper Theft Reports

Logan county authorities are asking area residents to check outbuildings and other rarely-monitored locations for evidence of copper thefts. The Sheriff's office says several similar reports have come in recently where wire has been stripped form abandoned farm houses and sprinkler systems. Four people have been arrested, and more arrests are expected. According to a statement, the men facing charges are 38-year old Nathan Knight, 37-year old Gene Howard, 24-year old Jeff Morrison and 26-year old Harley Becker. Authorities ask that residents check all vacant and rarely-occupied buildings and irrigation sprinkler systems and report any evidence of copper wire theft to the Sheriff's Department.
