The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is working to solve a string of burglaries and thefts affecting property owners in Morgan and Adams counties. Apparently, a group associated with 29-year old Clayton Hebert of Wiggins was committing the crimes to raise money to bail him out of jail. A release from Sheriff Jim Crone says Hebert had originally been arrested for driving on a revoked license. Deputies have arrested three people in relation to the series of crimes following a traffic stop south of Fort Morgan this weekend. They are identified in the release as 28-year old Josh Minshall of Elbert, 19-year old Olivia Wyzgowski of Wiggins, and 26-year old Randee Hebert of Hudson. A search of a rural Morgan county home identified several items stolen from Adams county and a number of additional items that have not been reported stolen yet. The Sheriff asks property owners around the area to check vacant buildings and sheds for missing property, and that farmers check irrigations systems for missing wire, as it appears the group had been targeting sprinklers as well.
