Former Sterling Resident, Extension Agent to be Honored

A former Sterling resident and CSU Extension agent who has moved to Wyoming will soon be inducted into the Colorado Agricultural Hall of Fame. Jim Read is one of four ag industry leaders to be so honored. Read served during his caree as an extension agent in Cheyenne, Prowers (short o) and Logan Counties. The other three awards will be granted to Dr. John Matsushima of Fort Collins, Mr. Andrew Mair (posthumously), and Mr. Donald Norgren of Platteville. The four will be honored for their lifetime achievements in agriculture during a banquet and ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Renaissance Hotel in Denver.
